About DSGardenPicks
Hands-on garden product research across five markets
DSGardenPicks is an independent editorial team that tests and compares garden products for gardeners in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and Europe. We look at how tools, grow lights, and plant care products perform in real home gardens, balconies, and allotment plots.
How we evaluate
Four steps from market vetting to garden testing
01
Vet the market
We check each product across retail listings in our five markets, confirming specifications, voltage, and regional availability before any product enters a review.
02
Verify the specs
Coverage areas, tool dimensions, watering volumes, and materials are checked against manufacturer data and measured where we can.
03
Test in real gardens
Products run through weeks of use in home gardens, balconies, and indoor grow shelves, noting setup time, daily handling, and how they hold up to weather.
04
Publish with the limits
Every review states what we tested, what we could not test, and the conditions under which a product may not suit your space.
Our independence pledge
Recommendations are chosen on the product, not the commission.
We earn qualifying commissions from affiliate partner links at no added cost to readers. We compare products across retailers, so no single store shapes which picks appear first. Our editorial selection is made before any affiliate relationship is considered, and we publish corrections openly when we get something wrong.
